Colin Turner to Host Campaign Kick-Off Event in Historic Old Town Manassas
MANASSAS, VA — Independent candidate for Manassas City Council, Colin Turner, will officially launch his campaign with a community kick-off event on Saturday, June 13, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at a prominent historic home in Old Town Manassas.
The event will bring together residents, local business owners, community leaders, and supporters to discuss the future of Manassas and hear directly from Turner about his vision for the city.
Turner announced his candidacy earlier this month on a platform centered around responsible growth, transparent leadership, and preserving the character of Manassas. As an Independent candidate, he says his campaign is focused on practical solutions, community engagement, and ensuring residents have a meaningful voice in the decisions shaping the city’s future.
“Manassas is a city with tremendous opportunity, but growth must be accompanied by thoughtful planning, stewardship, and open communication,” Turner said. “This campaign is about bringing people together, listening to residents, and ensuring that the future of Manassas reflects the values and priorities of the people who call it home.”
A homeowner in Old Town Manassas, Turner has become known for his involvement in local preservation efforts, including helping lead the community-driven movement to preserve the historic Old Bennett School. He says that experience reinforced his belief that residents deserve a stronger seat at the table when major decisions affecting the community are made.
Guests attending the June 13 event will have an opportunity to meet Turner, learn more about his priorities for Manassas, and connect with neighbors who share an interest in the city’s future. Light refreshments will be provided.
